On this.. #NationalHotDogDay… never forget… I declare that peanut butter is a totally acceptable condiment to put on your hot dog.
THE PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY HOT DOG IS A REAL THING YOU CAN GET
Is nothing sacred anymore?!
A peanut butter and jelly sandwich is one of the last pure things this world has to offer, but someone decided to mess with perfection and put it on a hot dog. Say hello to the peanut butter and jelly hot dog! Sorry, it doesn’t have a cool name or anything.
The dish is available at the Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. We got in touch with a rep from the resort, and were told via email that the peanut butter and jelly hot dog is on the Golf Clubhouse’s secret menu and costs $5 each. If you’re feeling wild in-between slot machines, pick one up.
If this news isn’t mind-boggling enough, though, this has been a thing for quite some time. I don’t know what universe I was living in where I didn’t know peanut butter and jelly hot dogs existed, but I want to go back to that place. People who have tried the strange combination say that it’s actually good, and sometimes bacon is also added to the hot dog.
Personally, I’m horrified. But to each their own, and I’ll just judge you accordingly.
