SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) A Scranton woman spun the wheel, guessed letters and bought vowels.

Kristen Andrews climbed to the top in Wednesday night’s episode of Wheel of Fortune. Family and friends gathered in Scranton to cheer her on. Andrews made it all the way to the bonus round for an opportunity at two milliond dollars.

Andrews was not able to guess the final prize. She went home with a trip to Ireland and cash Price of more than $12,000.

“it’s like buying a lottery ticket. Like you buy it and you think that prize would be great. But, I am not going to win,” said Andrews.

“I had no idea the outcome but I just knew that she was going to do really well at this. She’s so smart, she’s so talented,” said Brazil.

“I am so happy for her. Out of anyone I could imagine to ever get on to Wheel of Fortune I am not surprised that it was her,” said Colleen Rinaldi.

Andrews is a cyber school teacher and is plannin her Ireland trip with her husband this summer. She tells us they plan to use the cash winnings for a new roof on their Scranton home.
