Mount Airy Casino Resort Elevates Group Experience in New Expansion
Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono, Pa., is investing in its future with plans for a multimillion-dollar expansion.
“Since opening as a new casino resort a decade ago, we’ve focused on continuously elevating the guest experience—introducing new culinary, nightlife and renovations,” says Carmelo Seguinot, president and COO of the resort. “Our upcoming expansion will provide compelling new amenities and accommodations, ideal for upscale travelers and groups of every size.”
First on the docket: A new 27,000-sf Outdoor Concert Pavilion will debut this May, just in time for the summer concert season. Situated on the property’s 1,056 acres, the pavilion will host bands such as Earth, Wind & Fire and Third Eye Blind this summer. It can accommodate more than 2,000 attendees and is available as an outdoor, enclosed events space for groups as well.
Then, next spring, the expansion will unveil an additional 100 guest rooms and a 16,000-sf ballroom and events center. The extra guest rooms will bring the property’s total room count to 288, and they will be designed to reflect the natural elements of the surrounding Poconos Mountains. Meeting planners will likely be most excited, however, about the property’s new meeting space, bringing its total to about 20,000 sf.
These new highlights will only add to the property’s resort offerings, which already include a casino, 18-hole golf course, 16,000-sf spa, nightclub, indoor/outdoor pool and entertainment complex and several signature restaurants, including Guy Fieri’s Mt. Pocono Kitchen and Bistecca by Il Mulino.
