Following successful ‘soft launch,’ casino-resort’s official opening touts full-service gaming options, including online sports wagering

Mount Airy Casino Resort, Pennsylvania’s first AAA Four-Diamond casino property, officially cut the ribbon today on its new retail sportsbook, outfitted with a 40-TV sports viewing area, luxury lounge seating and a 12-table poker room. The non-smoking sportsbook, which also includes eight sports betting kiosks for 24/7 betting action, is located just off the casino floor in a 3,800-square-foot private location, suited to entertain approximately 75 guests. The public launch comes on the heels of the casino-resort’s strategic partnership with FOX Bet and PokerStars that will bring mobile and online gaming options to Mount Airy’s customers, representing the first online gaming offering in Pennsylvania.
“We’re constantly investing in our player experience and are proud to offer our customers both a retail sports book and an online interactive gaming experience,” said Todd Greenberg, Mount Airy’s Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. “Now, our guests can watch, bet and play cards all in the same integrated location. And if they’re watching the games from home, during the infamously long commercials, they have the option of gaming on their phones at the world’s largest online poker site.”
The ribbon cutting comes one day before Mount Airy’s Sportsbook official public launch event, to be held Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 am to 12 midnight. During this time, the resort will be giving away sportsbook T-shirts and hosting food and beer specials.
Mount Airy is also doubling down on brick-and-mortar investments. Last spring, the property unveiled a $40 million-plus luxury expansion that includes a new 20,000-square-foot convention center and ballroom to serve as a state-of-the-art venue for private and corporate events, weddings and entertainment. The expansion added 100 new guest rooms, including new executive suites, increasing the number of available rooms by over 50 percent to nearly 300.
The hours of operation are: Monday through Friday – 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday Sunday – 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
