Mount Airy Casino Resort Names New Golf Pro; Course Set to Open Thursday, April 1st

George Toth, President and CEO of Mount Airy Casino Resort, today announced the April 1st opening of the 18-hole golf course and appointment of PGA Golf Professional, Chris Zelenka as Mount Airy Golf Course Manager.

"Mount Airy is the only casino in Pennsylvania to offer luxurious guest rooms, fine dining options, a nightclub with headline entertainment, a spa and salon and a full 18-hole golf course," said Toth. "With the introduction of table games this summer, Mount Airy will be in a position to offer the best gaming experience on the East Coast."

As course manager, Zelenka will be responsible for golf course operations and functions while ensuring superior service to all guests of Mount Airy Casino Resort. A 30-year veteran of the golfing industry, Zelenka has worked for 20 years as a Class A-1 member of the Professional Golfers Association at resorts including Marriott Seaview Resort and the Linwood Country Club, both in Atlantic City; the Radley Run Country Club, West Chester; the Whitetail Golf Club, Bath; Cherry Valley Golf Club, Stroudsburg, and the Sand Springs Country Club in Drums.

A seasoned tournament organizer, Zelenka has arranged successful regional golf tournaments including the Tylenol Kids Classic, featuring Michael Jordan, Charles Barclay and the late Payne Stewart, and the Pennsylvania State Legionnaires Championship.
